Solana has officially kicked off its first-ever AI hackathon, aiming to bring innovative artificial intelligence applications to its high-performance blockchain. With over $185,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, the event invites developers and innovators worldwide to create cutting-edge AI agents on Solana.
The hackathon, powered by Send AI, features six distinct tracks, each offering a unique challenge for participants. The main track, sponsored by ai16z and the Solana Foundation, focuses on building the best overall AI agent product. The top three winners will receive $30,000, $20,000, and $10,000, respectively.
Another exciting track, supported by Kuzco, will concentrate on AI agent infrastructure. Developers will compete to create the next-generation framework for AI agents on Solana, with cash prizes of $15,000, $7,500, and $5,000 for the best submissions.
Additional tracks include:
- DeFi Agents by Adrena Protocol, focusing on agents that interact with and manage positions across Solana DeFi protocols.
- Agent Token Tooling by Meteora, which challenges developers to create tools for AI agents to manage token liquidity and launch projects.
- Trading Agents by Paladin, aimed at creating AI agents for spot trading.
- Autonomous Chat Agents by Assisterr, focusing on building AI-driven chat agents.
The hackathon is open for solo developers or teams of up to five people, with submissions due by December 15. Participants will have access to expert mentoring, resources, and idea boards by Send AI, as well as opportunities for in-person pop-up events.
