Elon Musk has officially aligned himself with Donald Trump’s campaign as they gear up for the upcoming U.S. election. The billionaire tech mogul is set to make his presence felt in Pennsylvania, where he will hold a series of talks emphasizing the importance of free speech.
Musk’s involvement comes at a time when Trump’s campaign is actively courting cryptocurrency supporters, a demographic that Musk has consistently championed.
Musk’s political donations have also made waves. In the latest report, the Political Action Committee (PAC) for “Trump 47” has raised $7.5 million in crypto to support Trump’s campaign for the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
Over the past three months, Musk has contributed approximately $75 million to his Pro Donald Trump Super PAC, positioning him among the top Republican donors.
According to federal disclosures released Tuesday, Musk’s PAC, America PAC, raised about $72 million between July and September alone. This financial backing highlights his influential role in the campaign, especially in critical battleground states that could determine the election outcome.
In a recent appearance alongside Trump in Pennsylvania, Musk declared, “I’m not just MAGA, I’m Dark MAGA.” His commitment to the campaign is underscored by his statement that “President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America. This is a must-win situation.”
Musk has also hinted at the possibility of a substantial role in the administration should Trump win. Speculation has arisen that Trump may appoint Musk as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, a subtle nod to promoting Dogecoin and other cryptocurrency initiatives.
Musk’s outreach efforts include a call to action on social media, where he tweeted, “Tomorrow night through Monday, I will be giving a series of talks throughout Pennsylvania. If you’d like to attend one of my talks, there’s no attendance fee. You just need to have signed our petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms and have voted in this election.”
Musk added, “To clarify, you need have voted in Pennsylvania.”
This strategy aims to galvanize support among voters and highlight the campaign’s focus on fundamental rights.
As the political landscape evolves, all eyes will be on Pennsylvania, where Musk’s talks and Trump’s campaign strategies are poised to engage voters in a tightly contested race against Democrat Kamala Harris.
