European luxury store Printemps to accept crypto payments

Printemps, a 159-year-old French luxury store, has announced that they will now accept cryptocurrency payments through a partnership with Binance Pay and Lyzi. This move makes it a leading departmental store in Europe to accept crypto payments.

As per the official announcement, customers can buy luxury fashion and beauty products by making payment through the crypto of their choice. This advancement is made achievable by Binance Pay, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange, and the crypto payment fintech Lyzi, which links brands to the users of crypto.

The report cites that more than 6.5 million French cryptocurrency users will be now able to use their assets at Printemps stores around the country. Binance has offered its Binance Pay customers that they can pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies – including stablecoins like EURI and USDC as per their choice of payment.

“We are proud to be the first department store network in France to offer this option to our local and international customers.” said the Chief Partnership Officer of Printemps, Emmanuel Suissa, adding “By partnering with Binance and Lyzi, we are enhancing our customers’ shopping experience and adapting our services to the needs of today’s modern and connected consumers with the latest Web3 solutions.”

Printemps’ cryptocurrency payments integration may be a noticeable beginning for a further trend in the European retail industry. This could also lead to a powerful revolution in payment systems apart from the continent, where crypto acceptance has decreased in regions like North America and Asia.
