Shares of Strive climbed sharply on Monday following the announcement of a $143 million bitcoin acquisition, which elevates the firm to the fifth-largest publicly traded crypto treasury.

According to a filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Nasdaq-listed enterprise acquired 1,800 bitcoins between August 24 and August 28 at an average price of $79,431 per coin.

Based in Dallas, Texas, the organization now possesses 23,156 coins, valued at $1.8 billion at current market prices. Trading for its stock (NASDAQ: ASST) rose by 9% around 12:30 p.m. in New York, bringing its year-to-date stock increase to nearly 40%.
