Nasdaq-listed bitcoin treasury firm Strive has increased its total reserves to 25,000 BTC, valued at close to $2 billion, subsequent to its most recent purchase.
On Monday, the organization announced the acquisition of 469 bitcoins, secured at a mean price of roughly $77,954 per coin. Data from Bitcoin Treasuries indicates that Strive remains the fifth-largest publicly traded company holding bitcoin, trailing Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA.
Matt Cole, the CEO of Strive, shared on X Monday that the entirety of the capital raised throughout the week originated from sales of SATA, the company’s perpetual preferred stock.
Following the announcement, shares of the Dallas, Texas-based enterprise (traded under the ticker ASST) rose more than 6%.
Strive formally launched as a bitcoin treasury in the previous year. The business was established by tech entrepreneur and former Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
During January 2026, the firm finalized an all-stock purchase of Semler Scientific, marking the initial time a publicly traded bitcoin treasury acquired a peer entity.
Mirroring other digital asset treasuries, Strive aims to offer investors leveraged exposure through its equity. The firm purchases bitcoin using equity while keeping a balance sheet entirely free of debt — omitting bonds, lines of credit, and leveraged positions that might cause forced liquidations during market slumps.
This absence of debt sets the company apart from several other leading bitcoin treasuries.
Alternative large-scale bitcoin treasuries, such as market leader Strategy, have previously relied on leverage to acquire the prominent cryptocurrency.
Strive CEO Matt Cole has characterized his firm as completely debt-free, noting it operates with zero margin requirements and holds zero encumbered bitcoin.
